Chapter 1: IoTM Portal Concepts
IoTM is a cloud-native, over-the-top IoT connectivity and eSIM orchestration solution, supporting over 100 MNO and integrated with over 20 Connectivity Management Platform variants (CMPs) and tier 1 Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP) providers. We specialize in managing large-scale deployments with millions of SIM cards and diverse connectivity vendors and CMP platforms. Our zero-touch deployment methodology ensures a streamlined customer journey through self-provisioning and self-onboarding, eliminating the need for setup, customization, or integration.
Unlike an MNO or an MVNO, we do not sell or resell connectivity and we are not an RSP vendor. Instead, our customers always purchase connectivity directly from mobile carriers. For connectivity management, we offer a bring-your-own-telco, centralized SIM repository, allowing enterprises to manage all their SIM deployments, covering both the connectivity lifecycle and eSIM subscription management, under a single pane of glass.
Our solution provides a unified set of web applications and APIs for both legacy and future SIM cards. These applications are considered the most advanced in the market, excelling in analytics, high situational awareness, connectivity fraud prevention and telecom expense management.
Connectivity Federation Portal, covered in this guide, is one of IoTM’s offering main building blocks. Designed for large scale multi-carrier deployments, it allows customers to perform the common day-to-day actions required to manage an IoT SIM deployment, such as: SIM inventory management, SIM Life cycle management (e.g., Activation/Deactivation), eSIM lifecycle management (e.g., manual/batched MNO swaps), SIM Troubleshooting, SIM population tagging, Batch campaign management, Advanced SIM searching and listing, monitoring data, SMS, and voice usage, assigning a rate plan to a SIM.
Mixed SIM deployments based on different connectivity providers and CMPs can now be onboarded and orchestrated seamlessly for the first time through IoTM’s single pane of glass Federated Connectivity Management Portal (and API set) that provides common subscription management capabilities and a harmonized user experience, normalized across the various connectivity management platforms and connectivity providers.
