Assign Customer Tags
Customer tags allow you to associate devices and subscriptions with customers, organisations, business units, or operational groups.
Using customer tags helps simplify:

Assign a customer tag to a single device
To assign a customer tag manually:
- Open Inventory Management
- Locate the required device
- Open the device details page
- Select Manage Tags
- Add or select the customer tag
- Save the changes

Each device can only be associated with a single customer tag at a time.
Assign customer tags in bulk
Bulk customer tagging can be performed using:
- Inventory Management bulk actions
- CSV uploads
- Batch operational workflows
To assign customer tags in bulk:
- Select multiple devices
- Open the bulk actions menu
- Select Manage Tags
- Apply the required customer tag
- Confirm the update

Upload customer tags using CSV
Large customer mappings can be uploaded using CSV files.
Typical upload datasets include:
- Device identifiers
- Customer names
- Optional timestamps
Upload customer tags with timestamps
Optional timestamps can also be included.
If values contain commas, wrap them in quotation marks.
Supported device identifiers
Depending on the provider and subscription type, supported identifiers may include:
- ICCID
- IMSI
- MSISDN
- MDN
- MEID
- ESN
Do not mix identifier types within the same upload file.
Remove customer associations
To remove customer tags:
- Open the customer tag import workflow
- Select Delete Customer Tags
- Upload a dataset containing the target device identifiers
- Confirm the operation
